The communion antiphons are listed alphabetically with the page numbers of the prescribed psalm verses. Where more than one communion is indicated on a page, a superscript distinguishes them. When the location of the psalm has been identified by cross-reference, that reference appears in parentheses afterward; this allows both the verification of the liturgical place in the old rite and what optional psalms are allowed by the cross-reference for a given communion. For the few communions unique to the new rite, the location of the psalm verses identified in the new books is indicated, when possible, in square brackets. The mode of the communion is listed before its name. Those communions in brackets have not been done in the 400 dpi scans. When the Graduale Romanum (G.R) uses an asterisk(*) next to a psalm listing, another appropriate psalm may be used instead. I have, where needed, listed the renumbered verses that are in common. In the verses listed in common, I have left out verses that extended from the previous, or extended to the next, verse that is not called for by the Graduale Romanum. Note that in the verse book the psalm verse numbers that are listed next to the psalm at the beginning of the verses are then renumbered as 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. in the verses themselves. This often includes subdividing a psalm verse or combining psalm verses or using only part of a verse, so the contents of any one verse in the book, independent of its renumbering, may not match the same verse in the psalm. When a psalm, without its verse numbers, is listed at the beginning of the verses, the whole psalm is being used. When a reference is made within the book to a psalm, the verses listed with that reference are the renumbered verses. Where necessary, I have converted the verse numbers from the Graduale Romanum into the verses listed next to the psalm. This may be necessary because the Graduale Romanum uses the Galican Psalter numberings for the psalms, but uses the 1969 Nova Vulgata numbering for the verses within a psalm. The old Graduale Romanum has no psalm verse listings. All instances of Psalm 33 are renumbered. Those choices indicated by 'vel'(or), 'seu'(or), or 'Ad libitum'(At one's pleasure) that are in parenthesis come from the cross-reference to the psalm. Differentia in the Graduale Romanum is the same as Terminatione(term. for short) in this book and refers to the alternate terminations to the Gloria Patri tones. The text of the 1969 Nova Vulgata can often differ in varying degrees from this book which uses the Clementine Vulgate with the Gallican Psalter. The 1969 Nova Vulgata may also differ from the current (1979) Nova Vulgata, which is used for only psalm verse number comparisons in this Index. Where an entry refers to a "Nova Vulgata setting", see the book: Communio: Communion Antiphons with Psalm Verses. "No Match" means there is no setting of the indicated psalm in this book or in Communio.
Try the 400 dpi version of the .pdf and .png files, then download the 1200 dpi version of the file you want and use it for printing. I have labeled the 1200 dpi files below with "1200dpi". I have included those duplex .pdf and .doc files below from the 1200 dpi directory where they are called for. In their directory the 1200 dpi files don't have the word 'single' in them. The resize versions of the files are only available in 400 dpi. I have cropped Tones 1-5 and 7-8 in pp.12-23 in order to make them a little larger. So a cropped page, with the exception of Tones 3 and 4, will have only one Tone in it instead of two.
